Devlog: Weapon & Resource Progression

In Atherion, power is built on two pillars: the raw resources to forge your kingdom, and the weapons to defend and expand it! Let’s explore together the integrated system from raw materials to legendary weapons!

Tier 1 — Safe Outer Islands

Starting from the safe outer islands, you’ll find simple resources focused on survival and foundation (like Wood, Stone, and Food). Players can access basic tools such as:

• Iron Sword — essential for new infantry
• Hunting Bow — for gathering food and defense
• Lumberjack’s Axe — for fast wood gathering

These are Common-tier (Tier 1) tools, ideal for starting out but they won’t hold up in the major battles further inland.

Tier 2 — Inner Continent Outer Ring

When you set foot on the inner continent and enter its outer ring, you’ll face tougher opponents. This necessitates rarer materials (like Gold and Silver) to forge superior weapons:

• Steel Sword — sharper and more durable
• Composite Bow — fires faster, more powerful arrows
• Warrior’s Axe — effective in both combat and resource gathering

These are Rare-tier (Tier 2) weapons. They require advanced materials like steel and coal, and are often guarded by beasts or rivals.

Tier 3 — Scorching Inner Ring

At the heart of the scorching inner ring lie weapons that turn the tide of war:

• Dragonbone Sword — forged from dragon bone, wreathed in eternal flame
• Legendary Frostbow — freezes enemies in their tracks with unbreakable ice
• Earthquake Axe — shatters the ground with every mighty blow

These are Legendary-tier (Tier 3) weapons. They require unique materials like Dragon Crystals or Mithril and are often guarded by world bosses or hidden within the most perilous ancient ruins.

Economy Meets Military

Tools, resources, and equipment are divided into 3 main tiers, differing in rarity, power, and effectiveness (more tiers will be added in the future). This includes weapons and armor, down to artifacts and special resources like magical elixirs.

Each step forward requires smarter resource extraction, more advanced craftsmanship, and greater courage to face what is guarded by beasts, rivals, and ancient ruins.

Remember, the greatest leaders understand that economy and war are two sides of the same coin: whoever controls the flow of resources writes the legend of their power in the pages of history.
